Writing my latest blog reminded me of the developer LJN. If anyone remembers, LJN was one of the divisions of Acclaim that mainly focused on movie related video game titles. I didn't know what became of the company until doing a little research and I wasn't surprised when I read that the company became defunct during the mid-90s. Nearly every LJN video game that I've played has been pure torture. Actually the only video game made by LJN that I enjoyed playing was Spiderman and Venom: Maximum Carnage for the SNES system. The rest of the games were a headache to endure, so I never thought of even finishing them. These games included such wonders as The Karate Kid, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street
It's amazing how a video game developer could have such a terrible reputation. I'm thankful that we don't see any companies like that nowadays. If you are a retro video gamer, do you remember LJN?
